Prime Day is October 8-9, 2024, and I’d be remiss in not sharing a few cool reading and writing gadgets I’ve found over the years. The November newsletter will feature a full gift guide for the holidays, but here is a truncated version for Prime Day shoppers.
LED Neck Reading Light: I love this LED neck light. Every member of my family has tried to sneak off with this thing at some point. It has three brightness levels and three light color options. It’s flexible, and you don’t have to worry about it weighing down your book or tearing pages like the lights that clip on do. I’ve used this light when the power goes out instead of a flashlight as well. |
Kindle Paperwhite Essentials Bundle: I’ve tried a lot of e-readers, but the Kindle Paperwhite is still my favorite. This bundle includes the Kindle Paperwhite (16 GB), Cover, and Power Adapter. It has a great battery life and the newer version is waterproof. |
Book Annotation Kit: This book annotation kit is awesome. It comes with a case to store all of your supplies, and the highlighters do not bleed through pages. I use this all the time when marking up my books with notes for reviews. I’ll do a post soon showing my annotation process. |
Memory Foam Reading Backrest: If I didn’t have one of these backrests, I think I would have a serious spinal issue given how much time I spend in bed reading. It comes in a lot of different colors to match your bedding. |
Blue Light Blocking Glasses: I get migraines, but I also have trouble sleeping. I’m often up late reading or writing, and these blue light glasses really help block out the blue light that bothers my eyes. If you’re on a device a lot, it is good to carry a pair of these around (I’m wearing mine now as I write this!) |
Kindle Page Turner: This is probably one of the best accessories for e-readers out there. This device allows you to turn the pages of your e-reader without holding the device. If you pair this with a tablet holder, you can read without having to really move at all. |
The Book Seat: This is a book/ tablet/ Kindle holder. It has a storage pocket, and it can also be used as a travel pillow. Pairing this with the page turner device, you can read hands-free. |
Gooseneck Kindle/ Tablet Holder: A lot of kindle users love this gooseneck holder. It attaches to your bed frame or side table, and you can adjust it as needed. Pairing this with the page turner device gives you another entirely hands-free reading experience. |
Van Gogh Metal Bookmarks: These bookmarks are beautiful. They are sturdy, and they come in a 4-pack in case you misplace one or read multiple books at once. |
Kindle Unlimited: There have been great Kindle Unlimited offers on Prime Days in the past. If you have been thinking about trying it, it is worth visiting the site on Prime Day to check for a special offer. |
